Some days it says no.
Amara’s parents alternate weeks. This Wednesday falls on the boundary, and both schedules claim the afternoon. Software that optimises a car line resolves this by picking the likelier parent and moving the queue along.
Curbwise will not guess about a child. It stops, marks the case office verification required, and blocks release until a staff member with authority resolves it in person. The parent’s phone shows neutral wording — go to the front office — and nothing about custody, because whoever is holding that phone may not be entitled to know.
The disabled button is not the protection. A request sent straight to the API from outside the geofence, or around the interface entirely, fails on the server for the same reason.

What your staff actually sees.
One live queue, ordered by arrival, on whatever device is already in their hand. The colour and the words say the same thing, so it survives sunlight, a cracked screen, and colour blindness. Releasing is a deliberate second step with a required verification method — and when the engine did not clear the pickup, a written reason.
Teachers get the same queue on a phone. Nobody is asked to remember four hundred faces.

A parent can share their location on the way to you, and stop at any moment. While it is on, staff see one moving point. When it ends there is nothing to hand over, subpoena, or leak, because the trail was never written down.

Parents get one button.
They arrive, they tap once, the teacher is told. No queue number to read out, no tag to hang, no code to shout through a car window. Adding a grandparent for Thursday takes about twenty seconds — and your office confirms it before it means anything.
Parents cannot sign themselves up. The app only becomes useful once their school runs Curbwise, which is the correct order.
